
Tar Heels Ready to Celebrate Seniors in Showdown with UNCW Seahawks

CHAPEL HILL – The Tar Heels are gearing up for a celebratory night at the Orange County Sportsplex as they honor their seniors in game one of a weekend doubleheader against the University of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawks.
From key plays on the rink to leadership off it, the seniors have left an undeniable mark on the program and this “Senior Week” match-up will be a fitting tribute to their efforts. Tonight, the Tar Heels celebrate John Migliore, Zach Mangel, Jack Gleason, Tommy Gilligan, Michael Vaglia, Mekhi Ashford, Spencer Haskell and Chandler Kotseos.

Tonight also celebrates the contributions of the team’s graduating media team members who have played an integral role in capturing the energy of Tar Heel Hockey. Director of Videography Hannah Zinn, Videographer Sophia Pedroso, Photographer Dani Hart, Marketing and Photographer Madeline Nguyen and Social Media Marketing Brynn Klaber have each helped the program grow In documenting moments on the ice and creating content that brings the fans closer to the action.
The Tar Heels are fresh off of a 6-3 win against the Roger Williams Hawks, where ‘Holman Family Dental Care Player of the Week’ Kevin Ma registered a goal and two assists. He’ll aim to continue contributing offensively with his fellow defenseman John Migliore on the third pairing.
The Heels and Seahawks split the previous two-game series in Wilmington, with UNC winning game one in a 7-3 victory while falling to UNCW 3-2. The Seahawks look to rebound after a 4-2 loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies.
