The North Carolina Tar Heels men’s ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team at the Chapel Hill campus of the University of North Carolina. They are members of the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League (ACCHL) and compete in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division II ice hockey.

2024 Most Improved Award⭐️

Our players and staff voted sophomore defenseman Ben Edwards our Most Improved Player for the 2023-24 season!

Edwards registered two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in 24 games played.

2024 Rookie of the Year ⭐️ Our players and st

2024 Rookie of the Year ⭐️

Our players and staff voted freshman Matt Grady our Rookie of the Year for the 2023-24 season!

Grady was a point-per-game player this season (16G, 10A in 24 GP) and scored six goals on the power play. He also won 58.8% of his face-offs on 51 attempts.

2024 Defensive Player of the Year ⭐️ Our play

2024 Defensive Player of the Year ⭐️

Our players and staff voted sophomore defenseman Florian Zajic our Defensive POY for the 2023-24 season!

Zajic registered a team-high 24 hits and a team-best +/- of +7. He also did not record a turnover in the 2024 calendar year.
