Coach Adam Dauda

Adam Dauda was appointed the Head Coach of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Ice Hockey Team in May 2023. Before joining the Tar Heels, Dauda was the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator of the NCAA D3 Men’s Hockey Team at Manhattanville College while earning his Master’s of Science in Finance and graduating with a 4.0 GPA. During his time there, he helped recruit 22 student athletes which included the Male Rookie of the Year. He also helped Manhattanville make it to the UCHC semifinals both years.

During his professional playing career, he split time between Kalamazoo, MI and Jacksonville, FL in the ECHL, ranking third on the Jacksonville Icemen in goals (14) and points (30) as well as ranking first on the team in plus/minus (+10). Afterwards, Dauda spent time playing for HK Nitra in the Slovak Extraliga in a shortened Covid season.

In addition, Dauda attended Colgate University where he studied Economics and played 116 games for the NCAA D1 Men’s Hockey team accumulating 51 points. During his sophomore season in 2016-2017 he ranked #1 in faceoff win percentage and throughout his four years made the All-academic Team and Colgate Raider academic honor roll three times.
